What Santa Monica sends

The orders that come to us from this side of the city are personal more often than not. A birthday on one of the numbered streets south of Wilshire. A thank-you to a friend in Ocean Park. A welcome bouquet waiting at a hotel front desk on Ocean Avenue before someone lands. Since May 2023 we have hand-delivered 201 arrangements into Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades. The honest shape of that number: 2024 was the big year on this route, 18 of the 201 went out in the last twelve months, and the most recent left the studio on August 3, 2026. The run is still driven the same way it always was.

The arrangement sent here most often is the Ocean Breeze Bouquet. After that it is hydrangea, usually as a single-flower bouquet in light pink or ten stems of green, and the Classic Bouquet Sweet Candy with roses and hydrangea. Ranunculus turns up in spring. Peonies come up a lot too, and those are a next-day order rather than a same-day one, so give us the extra day if you want them. May is the busiest month on this route by a clear margin, which is what a city full of graduations, mothers and May weddings tends to do to a florist's calendar.

How the run works

We design everything at our studio at 620 N La Cienega Blvd and we drive it ourselves. Santa Monica sits about 7.4 miles straight west of the bench, so delivery is typically $42; the 90404 blocks around the hospitals are the closest corner of the city at roughly 6.7 miles and usually price at $31, and Pacific Palisades is the far end at about 8.9 miles. Checkout works out the exact fee by radius from the studio, so what you see there is the real number.

Order by 4pm Monday through Saturday for same-day. Around 40% of the dated Santa Monica orders in our records went out same-day, which means this route is built for it: the Westside run leaves in the afternoon and the arrangement in the van was made that morning. We are closed Sundays, so a Sunday order goes out Monday. If you need a tight window for a hotel check-in or a hospital visiting hour, call the studio and we will plan the run around it.

The places we know

Santa Monica gives a driver two kinds of address. There are the front desks, which are easy once you have done them a few times: Providence Saint John's Health Center on Santa Monica Boulevard, UCLA Health Santa Monica Medical Center on 16th Street, the hotels along Ocean Avenue and Pico. Reception signs, the flowers go up, we message you when it is done. Then there are the residential blocks, where the building is gated or the unit number is nowhere on the door. Those are the ones worth a line in the order notes. A gate code, a callbox name, an office floor, or simply "leave with the doorman" takes the guesswork out of it and gets your flowers in water sooner. The notes field is the reason most of these handoffs take a minute rather than ten.
